SMS banking is a form of mobile banking. It is a facility used by some banks or other financial institutions to send messages (also called notifications or alerts) to customer's mobile phones using SMS messaging, or a service provided by them which enables customers to perform some financial transactions using SMS.

Customer can get SMS Alerts when, ever there certain debit or credit in his account, Fixed Deposit maturity, loan instalment for this customer have to register his mobile number with bank.

Charges -------

Saving Bank accounts : Rs. 15/- + GST per quarter.
Current accounts : Rs. 25/- + GST per quarter.
Cash Credit Accounts : Rs. 35/- + GST per quarter.

How do I register my mobile number?

The mobile number you have provided at your nearest SSUC bank branch while opening an account will be used for sending SMS alerts. Otherwise old account, so you can submit a SMS Alert request form in branch.

Will the SMS be sent to the mobile registered in the Profile, Personal details section in Internet Banking?

No..! SMS alerts will be only be sent to mobile number registered at your branch. If your mobile number is not registered with the branch, please contact your nearest SSUCB branch

How can I disable all alerts for an account?

Yes! SMS alerts will be disabled after getting your confirmation letter at Branch

What should I do if I change my mobile phone number?

You can Update or Register your mobile number by visiting your branch.

NOTE :

If account holder unsubscribe before starting of next quarter, he will not be charged from subsequent quarter but charged for current quarter. After un-subscription such customer will get only mandatory alerts, informative & educative SMS and will not get other SMS alerts.
